Clients with dementia
Known as "Murph", this 58 year old Irish man has had a small cerebral bleed & suffers from confusion & short term memory, but is alert in some respects. He is prone to wandering, is mobile, but unsteady. Left arm is almost useless, weak left side. He is well known in the village and needs to be taken out daily to the local pub and any social activities. He needs prompts.

BB is a quiet lady whose only problem is a very short-term memory and constant repetition and a panic attack if left alone for more than a few minutes.

Mrs S. is an 85 year old lady with a stroke (right sided weakness), a poor memory and a lack of awareness into her condition. She lives in a tidy bungalow in a market town.

Magda has Alzheimers, Parkinsons & Epilepsy. She is very confused. She must not be left at all. Does not like being bossed/treated like a child. Be coaxing. Must treat it as her own home. Weak down left side. Her main hobby is TV, loves to go along the sea front in wheelchair window shopping. She is totally reliant on Care Assistants. Hard work but well paid and rewarding as she can show real affection.

Doris is a dear articulate lady, who has senile dementia. She is aware that she has a memory problem. Perfectly straight forward to look after, needing reassurance and guidance. She is a diabetic on tablet & diet control. She also has the start of Alzheimer's disease and is beginning to have mood swings and to wander outside to find her daughter.
