Although we have clients all over the UK, we do not need a branch structure. We can manage the arrangement of clients and care assistants very well from a single office and we like to train care assistants on the spot.
But, clients and carers like someone local. To assess a client before we start, to visit regularly, to review and update our records, to supervise, monitor and support our care assistants.
So we have local Assessors, trained by us here in Saxmundham who, between them, cover the country. We have fourteen and expect this number to double over the next two years, as we increase the number of visits we make to take account of our growth, quality standards and the need to give care assistants help in their work and NVQ training.
Most of our Assessors have a social work or similar background and give us a day or two a week near where they live.
