REGULATION MANAGER APPOINTED AT SAXMUNDHAM CARE AGENCY

25 June 2009

Saxmundham based care agency Christies Care has appointed Lin Barnes to the new role of Regulation Manager.

Lin, who has worked for Christies Care for 11 years in an accountancy role, took up the new position in May. She will be responsible for a programme of quality improvement, ensuring the company provides the best possible standards of care for clients whilst meeting and exceeding all national standards required by the Care Quality Commission.

Speaking of her new role, Lin Barnes said; “I am here to help raise standards from good to excellent and am looking forward to the challenge. Our improvement programme includes involving more clients in giving feedback so they can help develop our services further.”

An Open Day for Christies Care clients will be held in September and other plans include improved communications, management training and investment in bespoke computer software which helps match clients with suitable carers.

Lin has lived in Saxmundham for 25 years and has two children. In her spare time Lin is a dance enthusiast and organises the European Music and Dance Festival which takes place annually at Leiston Abbey.

Christies Care is a leading registered agency for 24 hour live-in care assistants, which enables people to stay living at home rather than move into residential or nursing homes. For more information, visit www.christiescare.com
