Update: We have raised an amazing £255.48! Thank you all very much for your baking and kind donations, raising money for a great cause.
Staff at Christies Care are “rising” to the challenge in support of the annual Alzheimer’s Society’s Cupcake Day.
As many of our clients are living with dementia, the Christies staff will be selling their cupcake creations and tea and coffee, fundraising to help with the pioneering research, crucial support services and pioneering care that the Alzheimer’s Society provides.
We’re also hoping to raise awareness by inviting the community to join in. Everyone’s invited to come along and have a chat (at Christies everyone’s a Dementia Friend), whether they’re affected by dementia or not.
Our Cupcake Day event will be running from 11.30am to 2.30pm on Thursday, June 13th in the Runnell House building at Christies Care.
You don’t need to book ahead. Just turn up with your questions about dementia and a healthy appetite!
“We are all looking forward to raising awareness of Alzheimer’s with our cupcake day.
And we’re hoping to raise lots of money to donate to the Alzheimer’s Society charity.”
