The Sapphire Team

Our Bookings Team comprises specialist sub-teams that lead the client from their introduction to Christies Care to a dedicated point of contact that continues our clients’ care journey.

From day to day queries to emergencies, each team member is trained and relied upon to respond in a fast and efficient manner and always with our mantra of ‘Person-Centred’ care.

Led by James, Joe and Shaunna who share 14 years’ experience between them, the teams will strive to identify carers that become a regular and comforting presence in our clients’ homes.

Focusing on mobility, companionship and support, as well as our clients’ personal goals, the relationships forged here are such an integral part of how we create an ideal care partnership.

Our Carers are a vital part of our strength and we have reached the finals for ‘Great British Care Awards Home Care Worker’ for which we are extremely proud. A testimony to our Bookings Teams and Carers working together to provide the very best Live-in Care.

JOE GLASSBookings Department Manager
“Hi, I’m Joe and I started with Christies Care in 2016 as a Booking Coordinator. During my 3 years with Christies I became the Team Leader for the Sapphire Team which covers East Anglia and have recently taken on the role of Department Manager alongside my colleagues, overseeing the Bookings Department.

Prior to joining Christies Care I worked in sales as an Estate Agent. I joined Christies Care as I was looking for a change in direction and wanted to be a part of something meaningful. I knew of Christies through people who worked here and never heard a bad word.

Since joining I have always said I can see myself here for life. Christies are more than just a care agency and really do want to make a difference. This shows, as a large part of my role is looking at how we, from the office, can help our clients get everything they want by remaining at home. This could be anything from making dinner for themselves to having regular outings.

I have spent a large amount of time looking into falls prevention and how the smallest of changes and people moving a little bit more, can massively reduce the risk of falls occurring. It is a very satisfying feeling to know we are not just helping but making a change.

When I am not at work I spend the majority of my time with my wife and two dogs (Rodney & Ruby). I am a big sports fan (particularly football) and enjoy playing poker in a monthly league, going to the gym and watching lots of TV box sets.”

EMMA FORDBookings Co-ordinator
“I have been with Christies Care since 2004. What I like most about my job is the diversity of people I work with and helping to make a difference in a person’s life.

Family time is extremely important to me and I enjoy spending time with my two young children. We love being “out and about” and like to travel and visit different places.”

JANE PETRIEBookings Co-ordinator
“I joined Christies in 2017 and thoroughly enjoy building relationships with both my clients and their families.

Everyone has a story that impacts on their needs and by listening we can understand and resolve any needs and concerns.

Life at home revolves around family, friends and taking long walks along the beach with my dog.”

EBONY THOMASBookings Co-ordinator
“Hi, I’m Ebony. I am a booking Coordinator for the Sapphire team. I joined Christies Care in October 2018, having previously worked as a specialist live-in Nanny working all over the UK.

My role is to match clients with like-minded carers and ensure they have year-round care. I’ve really enjoyed my time here at Christies so far.

I’ve learnt a lot and met a lot of lovely new people – clients, carers and office staff alike.

When I’m not at work, I’m a busy mum to a 5 year old wild-child. But if you ask her, I’m the pink power ranger!”
