We are very proud to announce that Christies Carer, Caroline Dube, has won the prestigious Home Care Worker award at the East of England Great British Care Awards 2019 and now goes through to the National final at Birmingham’s ICC on March 20th, 2020.

Caroline expressed her happiness at winning this award, and her gratitude to everyone from her clients to fellow carers and office staff.

“A big thank you to everyone at Christies – this award is for all of us. Working alongside fantastic carers, support from the Christies Team, enhanced training, client’s feedback – just to mention a few positives that contributed to this achievement. I am so grateful!

I would like to give a huge thank you to Joe, Kate, James and champion David for an amazing and “lifetime-memory” night. We were all winners. What a well spent evening. Thank you!

And thank you so much for such beautiful flowers. I am overwhelmed with everyone’s love. Truly appreciated!”

“Caroline was chosen for the best home care worker because of her empathy, passion and dedication to the job role. She has a bubbly and positive outlook on life that shines through when discussing her love of work and clients. Her company is lucky to have her.”

Rounding out a great evening, Christies Carer, James McGowan was a runner-up for the same award, and the Christies Care Bookings Team were runners-up up for the Home Care Team award.

The Great British Care Awards celebrates excellence across the care sector.  The purpose of the awards is to promote best practice, within both home care and care homes sectors, and pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.

Support for the events includes Care England, The Department of Health, The National Care Forum, The Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE) and the Alzheimer’s Society, as well as local authorities and other commercial organisations.

“It’s an absolutely amazing win for Caroline and testament to all the hard work she does. We couldn’t be more proud of her.

Having carers get recognition like this makes us all want to work harder.

The email (below) from our other nominee, James McGowan, sums up how well the carers appreciate each other, and the pride they have in what they do.

Well done again, to all the nominees.”

Victoria Shortley, Head of the Carer Support Team

“I have just arrived back at my client’s home, after a fabulous evening attending the Great British Care Awards.

I, and my client David Weston-Webb, would like to thank you all at Christies Care, especially Joe and Kate, for a most wonderful time.

Huge congratulations to Caroline Dube, from me Piper James for a well-deserved win as the best home carer. You are truly a beautiful and humble lady.

I was honoured to have been a runner up in the home carer category. Joe, you did amazing as well. Champions all of you.

David was so excited to be with us this evening and he has the runners-up certificate on his mantelpiece already.

Caroline, Joe and Christies too, this is my way of honouring you all. May God bless you all.”
