Following the success of last year’s event, Christies Care is again sponsoring a free circus event, put on by Circus petite on 21st September 2017. This performance has been specially adjusted to be suitable for people with learning disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder. This special performance is being held at the Felixstowe Beachside Events Arena (next to the pier).

Lin Barnes, Director at Christies Care, explains:

“Following a successful debut with Circus petite last year, we welcome the opportunity to work in partnership once again to provide a free event for people with learning disabilities and/or autism.”

Circus Petite is a touring circus from Ipswich, that enjoyed a successful debut tour around Suffolk towns and villages last year. Acts include the amazing Justo the Clown, jugglers, rope walking, hula-hooping, magic, fire displays and lots more.

Daniel Bean, co-founder of Circus Petite, said:

“We were delighted that Christies Care agreed to help us to bring this special performance to fruition. Their specialist team have helped us to ensure we are offering an entertaining show that is appropriate and comfortable for an audience of people who have learning disabilities.”

Tickets are FREE on a first come first serve basis. The ticket also entitles you to a free lunch from The Wandering Grill burger van, plus free face-painting from Dotty Doodle who are both setting up from 11.30am. The Circus begins at 1.30pm so please join us beforehand for some fun free activities, entertainment and delicious food!

Ian Hart, Learning Disabilities & Health and Social Care Diploma Training Co-ordinator at Christies Care:

“I think everyone thoroughly enjoyed last year’s circus performance. It was a great opportunity to meet the many personalities from the adult learning disabilities services that I’ve worked with over the years. Looking forward to seeing old and new faces again this year.”
