Imagine collecting the stories, the laughter and the voice of someone you love, and capturing it forever…
Let us introduce you to LivesOnRecord, an exclusive one-on-one interview service whereby an individual chooses some of their favourite music, art or books as they talk about their lives.
Lucy Greenwell, lead interviewer, says, “Our philosophy is that everyone has a story to tell if you only take the time to listen. I was inspired by the fact that I’d never met my grandfather, heard his War stories, listened to his voice, and so I wanted to help families record the lives of others, for posterity”.
The interview happens in the comfort of your own home, is professionally produced (by a BBC trained journalist), then beautifully edited and presented on a CD in a special LivesOnRecord box; a vivid and permanent memento for children, grandchildren and beyond.
Already, hundreds of people of all ages, from all over the UK, have tried the LivesOnRecord experience, a really enjoyable and completely stress-free way to tell your life story for your family and friends to enjoy. They’ve even had a few customers who’d been on Desert Island Discs. They unanimously say that the LivesOnRecord experience is more fun!
You can listen to some audio clips and find out more about the process on the LivesOnRecord website.
Here are a couple of comments from recent customers:
“I am sitting misty-eyed in the kitchen having listened to your interview with Robert. It is brilliant. You have got the man we all know and love, plus all the details needed to describe his varied life and the highs and lows. I can’t wait for the kids to hear it!”
“Just to say such a big thank you for the most wonderful recording of my mother’s life.We feel you have got so much out of her and it gives us all such a good idea of her early years. You are very clever as you tweak little gems of information out of her but at the same time making her feel relaxed. It’s a great art!! “
